The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has revised the academic calendar for the 2023-24 academic year. According to the academic calendar released by the technical and professional education regulator, the deadline for first-year students to apply for admission to technical institutions against vacant seats has been extended to October 30.
The AICTE has also announced the last date for newly admitted students to apply for lateral entry admission to second-year courses. The date is October 30th. The deadline for a university or board of technical institutes to grant affiliation is October 30.
However, for institutions offering online and ODL programmes, the last date for grant of approval and admission to courses in them for the first and second session will be determined by the UGC. The revised calendar is now available on the AICTE's official website.
