To add heft to the advancements in precision diagnostics and targeted therapeutics, the Department of Health Research (DHR), under the Union health ministry, has unveiled a training course on ‘Advent of Omics Technologies in Precision Diagnostics and Targeted Therapeutics’ from April 15 to May 7, 2024.
This four-week initiative is set to be conducted by the Molecular Biology Division at the Indian Council of Medical Research National Institute of Cancer Prevention and Research (ICMR-NICPR), Noida.
ICMR-NICPR is a premier institute within the ICMR-NICPR dedicated to conducting multidisciplinary, high-quality research, specifically emphasizing major cancers prevalent in India, including uterine cervix, breast, and oral cavity cancers.
The DHR and ICMR-NICPR are actively facilitating advancements in precision diagnostics and therapeutics through state-of-the-art training programs today.
The program aims to equip healthcare professionals, researchers, and scholars with advanced skills in biomedical research, particularly focusing on applying next-generation sequencing strategies and bioinformatics solutions. Participants will delve into cutting-edge topics such as genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, and next-generation sequencing technologies.
This intensive training course is open to faculty members from medical institutes, Model Rural Health Research Units (MRHRUs), Multidisciplinary Research Units (MRUs), and research institutes/universities holding MBBS/MD/PhD degrees or serving as Post Docs/PhD scholars.
Interested candidates are urged to register promptly, as only 15 participants will be enrolled. The selection of participants will be finalized by March 16, 2024, with a non-refundable fee of Rs. 2000 applicable to selected candidates.
The course, designed to encompass a comprehensive blend of lectures, interactive sessions, hands-on training, and group activities, will be facilitated by a team of experts from the Molecular Biology Division at ICMR-NICPR, Noida.
